Refat Baridi

Dr. Baridi completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School, performed his residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital, an affiliate of University of Illinois-Chicago, and an internship in medicine at Ysbyty-Gwynedd hospital in Bangor, Wales. He also is a graduate of the faculty of medicine at Damascus University.

An Associate Professor of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center, Dr. Baridi has been in practice for more than 20 years and is a highly trained and experienced hematologist-oncologist.

Dr. Baridi’s philosophy of care is, “no one should be alone in a fight against cancer. You and our team of highly qualified healthcare providers are an unbeatable combination.” 

He is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology, and his professional affiliations include the American Society of clinical oncology (ASCO), the American Society of Hematology (ASH). 

Dr. Baridi also serves as primary investigator at the North Center Cancer Treatment Group (NCCTG), the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG), the National Surgical Breast and Bowl project, the South West Oncology Group (SWOG).
